Guru’s Cock Fighting

Internet marketing guru’s having public fights!

John Reese in one and Rick Butts in the other.

In case you haven’t heard, there are some big name internet marketing guru’s having serious cyber throw downs.

Can You Say Cock Fight? 🙂

Who said the ladies are always acting bitchy? I beg to differ. These internet marketing guru’s are having public (yes, mass publicity) cyber fights. Being a lady of a certain standard I feel obliged to respond. First off, let me say that upon first look, my mind instantly began to think this was some sort of marketing tactic. But upon further investigation, I found that these guys are serious.

The other day I was twittering and came across a post by one of my favorite male counterparts, Rick Butts. He posted a video post on his about none other than Ross Goldberg giving some very bad advice about Stompernet to his subscribers.

Ladies, let me tell you what happened. In response to that video post by Rick Butts, all sorts of internet marketing guru’s began acting like they were premenstrual. I been online for a long time and witnessed some cyber fights but have never seen any like this before.

IMHO – While I agree with the nicest guy on the internet, Ken McArthur, on some very valuable points, I think that Rick Butts has every right to say what the heck he wants and I admire him for not backing down. While a little on the blunt side, I can appreciate his sarcastic tongue (no pun intended) and give him the utmost respect. PERIOD! Enough said. You can take a look for yourself and tell me what you think at

Wait! John Reese’s Cock Fight (or should I say emotional break down).

sidenote: I’d like to announce my cyber love for this man. As a matter of fact, I’ll deem him the finest guy on the internet. And that’s not only because he is drop-dead-gorgeous. That is also because his personality is soft and subtle. The speaks wisdom and is definitely to be admired in the internet marketing industry.

When I learned that John Reese was a little annoyed I began to twitch. I wanted to reach into this computer and snatch whoever was bothering him (natural female reaction, I guess) and pounce on them (am I’m a big girl :).

This is what’s going on: some guys, namely Mark Hopkins and Duncin Riley, over at one of the most popular blogs, Mashable, have been talking smack about John Reese.

In response to this attact, John Reese has posted his thoughts on his blog Here’s my take without totally getting in the middle of this fight.

IMO, John Reese really didn’t need to go into such detail with snapshots from, statistics from his past internet marketing experiences, figures from his bank account that add up to a whopping $$$$ (too much to mention) and get all emotional about it some somebody calling him a flopster. Who cares what they say, if you are not one? I know I don’t.

If you have been following John Reese like I have, you’ll know that he is a very, very profitable internet marketer. There is no question about that. You’ll also know that he is humble and seeks to over deliver. However, John has surprised me by the emotional response and has me feeling a little like he’s tooting his own horns. That is very not attractive.

Ladies grab yourself some java, head over to John Reese’s public cock fight and come back and let me know what you think. Was it too much or was he just having a moment, like the ladies do on occasion.

What The Heck Is PHP?

PHP is also known as Hypertext Preprocessor. It is an open source (free), server-side (meaning run from your server), scripting language that is used to create web pages. The site you are reading right now is made up of this language. If you’ve every visited a site that ends with “.php”, then you come across it. I’m sure you’ve probably heard of HTML, or Hyper Text Markup Language. With PHP, you can embed HTML right into a PHP script. You can basically use PHP to build your entire website, graphics included and embed your HTML right into the darn thing.

Here’s a little bit of what it looks like:

<!– post form data to form.php –>
18 <form method = “post” action = “form.php”>
19 <img src = “images/yourphoto.gif” alt = “User” /><br />
20 <span style = “color: yellow”>
21 Please fill out all the fields below.<br />
22 </span>

Look confusing? It’s not. While I am no PHP expert, I recommend anyone who owns their own website to become somewhat familiar with both PHP and HTML. I did so by just toying around with my own website. I mean, if you want to change the background color of you website and can’t get in touch with your programmer, you need to know how to do it. We shouldn’t just be sitting around waiting for a color change. Time is money.

PHP is very popular because of it’s strength in compatibility with other databases. In layman’s terms that means that this language works wonders with all sorts of other programs and it’s very fast.

If you are at all interested in learning a bit about this scripting language, let me know and I’ll bring some information to this site.

Most women I know are not too much into the technology behind it all and don’t really want to be bothered with learning or studying a scripting language. However, if you are looking to have your own website (and you should b), knowing a little HTML and PHP can make your life a bit less complicated. Are you interested? If so, give me some feedback.

8 Simple Tips To Not Make Any Money Online

Make Money Online or 8 Simple Ways To Not Make One Dollar.

I became inspired this evening to write this post after battling a knock-you-to-the-floor-and-make-you-cry-for-mama throat infection these past few days. I mean I cried for about an hour in the doctor’s office because of the body aches. It wasn’t until his nurse about half-hour after I was given a dose of pain medication in my rear-end that was able to control the tears. I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. GRRHH. I feel like an orchid now.

Back to the matter at hand. I’ve been struggling with this ever since I came down with that bug and thought long and hard about the best way to sum up my instructions for all my sisters out there who REALLY want to know how to not make money online.

You think I’m kidding? I’m not. Here are 8 simple tips to not work from home, not make any money from home and be able to look at the clock on this same date and time next year and say to yourself, “I really have to get something started.” Here goes:

  1. Go your 9-5 everyday. Make sure you get there on time and follow all the rules. Once you get home you’ll have to pick little Johnny up from after-school, drop his friend off, cook dinner, feed the kids, check the mail, call your sister/mom/friend (whichever your prefer), and do some tidying up; all while simultaneously trying to figure out what to wear tomorrow, what you weren’t able to finish at work, and how much your man wants to get next to you. Got that. Good.
  2. Now that your head is clear and your family is fed, safe and sleep you need to get down to business. You want to work from home right? You’ll have to get to your computer to read all the jokes, look at all the pictures, and read all the chain letters from your friends. You’ve got to spend at least 1 hour finishing this task.
  3. When you do have a little time on the weekends sign up to every newsletter from every guru you even remotely think you may be interested in. I mean every single last one of them.
  4. On your days off spend 2-3 hours every day reading about the latest, greatest e-book, or product launch that is guaranteed to make you rich in 60 days or less or you get “Your Money Back.”
  5. For every 30 emails you read buy at least one of the E-books or programs offered. Spend $100 trying affiliate marketing. Spend $397 for the latest “secret” marketing strategies. Spend at least $1497 building a website. Then spend at a minimum $2-3000 trying to get traffic to your site. In case I forgot, please don’t forget to throw some pay-per-click ads up just because the look so darn easy.
  6. Next. Go do your research. Research every work at home opportunity you come across. And I mean EVERYTHING. Research [tag]how to make money with Adsense, membership sites, squeeze pages, how to make money with Clickbank, with a blog, with Ebay, with forum marketing, how to make money with affiliate marketing, with E-books, with YouTube. Did I forget anything? If I did, then please go spend some cash on that too.
  7. Once you’re finished with tip #6 you can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. However, it’s probably in the wee hours of the morning and you do realize that you have to get up to go to work very early. In that case, just forget it. Go to bed and get some good rest. You’ll finish reading those emails and doing your research tomorrow.
  8. Rinse. Repeat.

There is a point here. If you really want to work from home, there are some things you need to do. I know my sisters are distracted, overworked and inundated with responsibilities. I know that information overload is very distracting. However, If you really want to have the pleasure of being home with your kids and vacationing when you want, then there’s going to have to be some changes made. In what areas? That’s up to you to decide.

What I want to share with you is that I’ve made at least four of those tips above a ritual in my life and it wasn’t until I made some serious changes that I began to take the action required to be successful. Again, I don’t have any screen shots of my HUGE affiliate checks to show you. Not yet. I am humbly beginning my journey after spending years of my life and thousands of my dollars going in circles. That in itself was a journey.

If you really want to make money online, stay with me. I promise to share with you all that I learn. If you don’t want to work from home, then, by all means, copy and paste the above list somewhere you can see it everyday and follow it faithfully.

Joint Venture Pilot Project

Joint Ventures are it! Or at least that’s what they say.

Ladies, has anyone ever told you, or have your ever heard the stories behind a lot of guru success. Most, if not all of these stories contain a mention of some sort of joint venture. As you already know, I’m a big fan of Liz Tomey’s Joint Venture Seekers. It’s a thorough collection of video where Liz tells you exactly what you should do to make that great joint venture successful.

Everybody that is anybody in the internet marketing arena has the same advice about networking and doing in this game; “Get to an event!” They all say it. They say it so much that I have decided that it’s time to listen.

Two weeks ago I attended Keith Wellman’s Million Dollar Launch in Atlanta. I met a great bunch of folks. I won’t get into the fact that there was not one female speaker in the line-up. ARRGGGHHH. However, I got to meet Jeff Wellman again (I met him back in December at a Sterling Valentine event). I really like this guy. He is so sincere and down to earth. I got to meet all sorts of women who are trying to get noticed and obtain financial freedom. However, the most exciting moment for me was meeting none other than, Ken McArthur.

I kno

w. He has no x-chromosomes. However, Ken McArthur is a man that I truly respect and have been stalking quietly for a few years 🙂 I had already purchased his newest book, “Impact” but when he gave me the opportunity to get one autographed, I whipped out the cash and handed it over. It was my pleasure. Ken sat quietly in the back of the room for the entire event and when he took the stage, the room lit up.

Anyways, Ken McArthur is probably most famous for his yearly event Joint Venture Alert Live (nicknamed JVAlert) . And this year JVAlert happens to be in Philadelphia on June 6, 7 and 8. I live in New York. It’s a no brainer. So, I’m packing my bags and heading to this great joint venture event as a pilot test. The sole purpose of this event is to strike up great million dollar joint ventures and network with those who can perhaps change your world as you know it.

I’m putting it to the test. I’m calling it my joint venture pilot project. I will keep you posted on everything that happens to me and everyone I meet. From what I understand, there’s a plethora of guess speakers on the roster and magical things have happened as a result of visiting this kind of function.

That is exactly what I want to happen for me and all other aspiring female internet marketers. So, I will share with you what I learn, who I meet and the outcome of this joint venture event. It is my hope that something magical does happen. It is my hope that I get that “ah ha” moment and can come back to you with news of how women internet marketers can change the faces of the gurus as we know them.

So, to sum this up, look out for future posts on my visit to Ken McArthur’s joint venture alert event in Philadelphia. Let’s see if magic can really happen from attending one event 🙂
